I was astonished today when I read an article in the local paper that a man who claimed to be a minister bilked people all over the world by promising huge returns on small investments. He took in more than a million dollars. The address for his "church" was actually the address of his own appartment in Norfolk, Virginia. He's now being
investigated by the federal government for mail fraud. No one ever got any returns for their investments. The John 17 Group would like to make a similar promise of huge returns - the eternal kind. We promise that if you donate to this ministry that God's words will be posted on billboards and other mass media. We promise that God Almighty will see what you have done and if your heart is right with Him, He will bless you accordingly. We promise to host Ads on billboards for Christian ministries for free as donations allow. We promise that is unlikely that you will ever get a return on your investment from us. We promse that if you honor God that He will honor you. We promise that God will not be indebted to you and that it is impossible to out-give God. Furthermore we promise that every single penny donated will be spent on promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ - not a penny will go toward overhead or benefit anyone in The John 17 Group. We promise that advertising sales cover all of our overhead. We promise to pray before we do anything. |

The following is a message from the American Family Association regarding the televised episodes of "Speechless" Silencing the Christians:
"Please forward this message to every Christian in your address book. This is a free webcast and a must see for everyone. We need millions to see this and take action before it's too late. Thank You!" The AFA has encouraged us to take action. Certanly the last thing we should do is nothing at all. What do you plan to do? If you want to do something but don't know what to do then you might take a look at this wiki. I think we shoud start by talking to each other. Who knows what the Lord might lead us to do. Here is an opportunity for the voice of Christians to be heard - loud and clear - on billboards and other mass media. Please tell us what you think, thanks and God Bless! |

The Big Idea: The body of Christ has many missions but one message, why not share the cost of sending that message to the World?
Our Mission is to produce and host faith based advertisements on TV, on Billboards, on the World Wide Web, in newspapers, on the radio and other mass media for about half the usual price. And to operate a self-supporting ministry where every penny of every donation is spent to advance the cause of Christ. While many people and organizations will have to be paid and will profit from our advertising campaign, no one in The John 17 Group will profit from a single peny that was donated. Our Vision is to bring unity to the message of the gospel by asking believers of every denomination and organization to join in an unselfish endeavor to promote it. Our Dream is to host ads for Jesus on TV during prime viewing times and during major events like the Super Bowl. Someone recently said "that's a God dream," and that's exactly what it is. Please pray for us and prayerfully consider supporting our efforts financially, and may God richly bless you! |
